Eligibility for admission into PGDM, PGDM (HRM) and PGDM (B&FS) Programs
Educational Background
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in any discipline—including but not limited to Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine, or other fields of study—from a recognized university in India or abroad. The degree must be awarded by an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline—including Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine, or other fields of study—from a recognized university in India or abroad. The institution must be recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). A minimum of 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade is required.
The Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification must entail at least three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2 system or equivalent).
Candidates currently in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent program are also eligible to apply. However, they must submit proof of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2025. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the program.
Applicants may be recent graduates or individuals with relevant work experience. Candidates from all academic backgrounds are welcome to apply.
Admissions Test
Admission to the program can be pursued through one of the following standardized management entrance tests:
1. Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024
Candidates may apply based on their performance in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024, conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, at various centers across India. For more information, please visit the official CAT website.
2. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2025
Admission is also open through the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2025, conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur in association with XAMI (Xavier Association of Management Institutes). XAT is a national-level test designed to assess the suitability of candidates for management education.

3. Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
Candidates holding foreign nationality may apply through the GMAT, provided the test was taken between January 2020 and January 2025.
GMAT scores must be submitted at the time of application.
A self-attested copy of the official GMAT score report must be provided to the Admissions Office during the personal interview for verification.
Important:
Candidates who have not yet appeared for the GMAT at the time of application must enter '0' in the GMAT score field and are required to email their official GMAT scorecard to admissions@imi.edu immediately after taking the test. Applications submitted without the GMAT scorecard will be considered incomplete and may be summarily rejected.

Selection Process
Candidates applying online for admission to the PGDM, PGDM (Human Resource Management), and/or PGDM (Banking & Financial Services) programs at IMI New Delhi will be shortlisted based on the following criteria:

The Admissions Committee of IMI New Delhi reserves the right to modify the evaluation components and weightages. These changes, if any, will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates during the Individual Assessment stage.
Important Note
Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting for the selection process. The decision of the IMI New Delhi Admissions Committee regarding admission will be final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
