The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an All-India examination that is administered and sanctioned in eight different locations. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a test of admittance for postgraduate programs that mainly assesses a candidate’s thorough comprehension of engineering and science undergraduate courses. The National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, is represented by the Indian Institute of Science and the seven Indian Institutes of Technologies in Roorkee, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai (Madras), and Mumbai (Bombay) in the joint conduct of GATE.
A candidate’s relative performance level is indicated by their GATE score. The Ministry of Education (MoE) and other government bodies give financial help for admission to a variety of post-graduate education programs (such as Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture, and Doctor of Philosophy) in Indian higher education institutions. Numerous Indian public sector organizations also use GATE scores for hiring graduate engineers for entry-level roles. This exam is among the most competitive in India. Many institutions outside of India, including Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, also recognize GATE.
