Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), Faridabad – Admission Process

Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), Faridabad follows a programme-specific admission process for its undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Admission is generally based on the candidate's academic qualifications and the relevant entrance examination or merit-defining criteria prescribed for the programme.

Step 1: Check Eligibility

Candidates must first meet the eligibility requirements of the programme they wish to join. For UG programmes, candidates generally need to have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination, with the minimum percentage varying by programme. For PG programmes, a relevant bachelor's degree with the required minimum marks is generally necessary. PhD admissions have separate eligibility and entrance requirements.

Step 2: Submit the Application Form

Applicants need to complete the online application form through the MRIIRS admission portal. Candidates can apply before their qualifying-examination results are declared, where permitted. The application form allows candidates to prioritize up to three programme choices, and the stated application fee is ₹1,200. Applicants are required to upload documents such as their Class 10 mark sheet, address proof and relevant qualifying-examination documents.

Step 3: Entrance Examination / Merit

MRIIRS uses different merit-defining examinations depending on the programme. The Manav Rachna National Aptitude Test (MRNAT) is an important entrance-cum-scholarship test for various UG and PG programmes, except M.Tech. The university also considers other accepted examinations such as JEE Main, SAT, CUET, UCEED, GATE and other programme-specific tests, wherever applicable.

For MRNAT 2026, the test is a 90-minute, 75-question examination. The UG test covers Arithmetic & Logical Reasoning, General English and General Awareness, while the PG test additionally includes domain-specific questions. MRIIRS also conducts a Vision & Values Round as part of the selection process.

Step 4: Selection and Offer of Admission

After evaluation of the applicable entrance-exam score and other admission criteria, eligible candidates are considered for selection. Seats are generally allotted according to merit and the programme preferences indicated in the application form. Selected candidates receive a Provisional Offer of Admission through the university's admission system/email.

Step 5: Accept the Offer and Pay the Fee

Candidates who receive an admission offer must accept it within the prescribed period and pay the applicable first installment/admission fee. Payment of the required fee is necessary to secure the offered seat.

Step 6: Document Verification and Enrollment

After fee payment, candidates must complete physical document verification/enrollment as instructed by the university. Students are required to present their original documents along with self-attested photocopies. After successful verification, the university issues the relevant admission/enrollment documentation and student identity card.

PhD Admission

MRIIRS has a separate admission procedure for PhD programmes. For the 2026 cycle, candidates who are not exempted are required to take a 90-minute entrance test of 70 marks, followed by a Personal Interview. Candidates qualifying through examinations such as UGC-JRF/NET, CSIR-JRF, GATE or M.Phil. may be exempt from the entrance test, subject to university rules.

Admission Process in Short

Eligibility → Online Application → Entrance Exam/Merit Assessment → Vision & Values Round/Interview where applicable → Provisional Offer → Fee Payment → Document Verification → Enrollment.

The exact entrance examination, minimum marks, selection criteria and deadlines vary by course, so applicants should check the programme-specific requirements before applying.
